When I built my computer last year, the BIOS was 3601 and the thing was nearly on fire until I used PBO to tone it down. This past week I thought I'd update to the latest BIOS and AMD chipset drivers and try to set up DOS OC but I am confused now which BIOS I should pick to work on. Each one says it improves performance however each new version is running my computer slower and slower and I'm not sure how to adjust for it. Now it's like the voltage needs to be amped way back up. My fans are actually shutting off on idle! Looking at this comparison, would I be better trying 3801? I hate to go all the way back to 3601 and I'd like to try and work with a new BIOS even 4001 but how do I get my performance back? I've tried PBO but maxing out the values only gets me even with what I had on 3601 and there's no more room on that page to make any further adjustment. Which BIOS should I start working on???
