So while I wait for my other card to come in, I want to put my current 6970 under water. This will be my first GPU waterblock install and the first gpu block to be added to my current setup.

Which of these 2 would you think is the better:

I like the look of the EK better but that thread has scared me lol. Ive read some good stuff on the XSPC block. Decisions Decisions

EK. You should make a poll so people can vote.

Lol is that fanboyism? did you read that review I posted the razor loads a good 7c cooler than the EK.
I have the EK block on my 6970 and that guy's temps look way out of whack to me. I have my 6970 overclocked to 1020 hz on core and 1500 hz on memory with 1270 mV stable. My load temps in Furmark never break 50 C.

I'm betting he just had a bad mount or something, the EK was sort of a pain in the ass to mount with the standoffs TBH.

Also keep in mind that I'm running an xspc 480 rad w/ an i7 920 at 1.48 V in the loop also.

Im kinda leaning towards the EK, but how do you think it will perform with a 360 rad and a CPU block on my 920 @ 4.2GHz 1.34V?

Thanks for all the feedback guys! Even though it makes it even tougher to decide lol

I doubt you'd get it much higher than 50C, a 360 should be fine. Not to mention the block looks like sex w/ that EK backplate they sell additionally.

I heard the back plate was difficult to add. How did you find the install to be?
