I've been getting corrupt memory errors on my Windows Home Server box. I'm currently using a pair of 1gb Crucial Ballistix 1066 in it. 1066 speed isn't really necessary so DDR2-800 should be fine.

My plan is to buy new RAM, RMA the Ballistix, then sell the Ballistix.

I have a gift certificate for Amazon.com so I'd like to buy from there.

Here are a couple that I've found - I think I'm leaning toward a single 2gb stick rather than 2x1gb. Any thoughts?

Kingston HyperX 2 GB (KHX6400D2LL/2G)

Corsair Memory VS2GB800D2 2 GB

Patriot Signature 2 GB (PSD22G8002) - I like that this is low voltage

PNY OPTIMA 2GB (2x1GB)

For a server box I would just buy whatever's the cheapest. I doubt you will see a difference between the different brands. If you actually use the computer a lot I would go towards dual channel.

That's actually what I did initially (found the Ballistix on sale for $6 after rebate). I'd like to get something that might be a little more reliable since I've heard a lot of negative things about Ballistix reliability and starting to experience it dying for myself.

Maybe I'll get the Patriot...it's the cheapest of the bunch and is low voltage.

That's not a bad idea...I'd just hate to get someone's dead RAM, though.

Bump...I wanna buy today/tomorrow. Looks like the Patriot went up in price.

Any other suggestions?
