I might be getting a new mobo in the near future (along with new video card) and i was wondering which chipset is the best to go with. My friend seems to think that the nvidia chipset is the best, but then again he thinks he knows everything. I've only used Intel chipsets and I haven't heard anything about ATI chipsets. Any insite on which is better. unless it's all just a matter of personal prefrences.

Well, If you don't plan on buying new memory, then get the Asus P5P800-SE board. Supports the latest intel processors and it supports AGP and DDR1 memory.

Well right now my video card is screwed up. i sent it to the manuf. to get it fixed a week or two ago. and got it back last week and it's still messed up. not sure why. so if they won't replace/fix it i'm going to get a new video card. probably a PCIe so i'll need a new mobo to suport it.
