ok, i got a 3ghz pentium 4 with 2mb cache, and my memory is 1gb eplida 667mhz, it has no heat spreader i do not understand the timmings ect.

Will something like

Corsair 1GB DDR2 XMS2-5400 TwinX (2x512MB) (MY-059-CS)

Would there be a noticeable differnce?

As a rule of thumb is not recommended to mix brands because of timing issues.

If I were you, I'd sell that 1GB module and buy a 2GB matching kit.

And I would also recommend getting rid of that MoBo for a P5WD2-Premium.
