I've been hearing alot about semprons recently as was wondering what exactly is the difference between semprons and athlons? I've got an athlon xp 3200+ barton as you'll see in my system specs are there any semprons better than this. Is the difference between athlon and sempron similar to the difference between pentiums and celerons (although I don't know anything about those either).

Yeah, before the Sempron there were Durons that were sorta the bargen end of Socket A, Sempron is basically the same thing (actually it's probably exactly the same thing)

sempron is the upgrade of duron, because it has just been around to long. now instead of 128 cache it has 256, and 3200+ has 512...so yours is better, and has better clock speeds too
