Performance wise, they are pretty close.
But, the 5770 uses less power, OC's better, has DX11, and scales better when CF'ed.

Which is better
4870 or 5770... i know based on ATI's naming hierarchy the 4870 is the higher end card, but looking at spec's it looks like the 5770 is pretty much even... any thoughts?

Basically the same card.. 5770 just has dx11 support.
They are around the same in games.. Some times 5770 wins, other times the 4870 does..
