I am in the process of designing and building a system for a friend.

He is is a Audio enthusiast but will also be installing and running VMware vSphere. (He wants 32 gigs of ram to run multiple VMs.)

Currently we just need to pick out the Motherboard and RAM.
Does anyone have any suggestions for this build?

Any and all other suggestions or comments, regarding the build, are welcome

You can get a server meant to run a bunch of VM's for around $200: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dell-PowerEdge-R610-Virtualization-Server-E5620-2-4GHz-8-CORES-32GB-2x-146GB-/371611054945?hash=item5685beb361
That was the first thing I suggested, but he wanted it all on the same desktop computer.
(In fact I personally just purchased a server for VMs.)

I updated the original post with two motherboards we were looking at.

What do you think of these choices?
