The one with the blower is a custom cooler, I believe, and the center fan is the reference heatsink.

This. And the EE goes 10c warmer at the core than the center fan.

Center cooler provides better temps in most cases. (pun!)

EE model exhausts air so it is only better in hot cases.

This is the same cooler on the Zotac 1GB card, and it SUCKS. even with the fan at 70%, the CPU can reach mid 90's on a full gaming session. I have a 768 with the reference cooler, and it never got over 74C at even higher clocks & volts than this Zotac...
