They're pretty much the same but I'd buy the Samsung. Its known to have superior picture quality.
Well, i'm pretty sure in the plasma department the panasonic is better then samsung. Samsung is better for LCD.
They're both overly expensive.

I don't know... $2000 for a TV just seems... overly expensive.

100% correct my man.

If this is disputed head over to the AVS forums. You won't find a better place for TV info.

Because I already bought the Panasonic for $1500 on sale at bestbuy on black Friday. Well now the deal is gone and now the Samsung will be on sale Thursday for $1900 according to the best buy guy! The best buy guy said it would be better to pay the extra $400 to get the Samsung HDTV because it would be a GREAT deal then the Panasonic. I just want to confirm it here before listening to the best buy guy.

Samsung, Pretty much everything I buy is Samsung, never had a problem with their products and the one time I did they overnighted a replacement to me. I bought the
UE46B8000 the other week for my Bedroom. I can honestly say, it is a perfect piece of work. Samsung FTW
the panasonic for plasma, samsung is the best lcd but for the money i bought a samsung led lcd tv. Oh yeah pioneer bought the rights to making 90 percent of the plasma screens and parts then stopped making them to phase them out in the next couple years.
