I believe the Heatkiller 3.0 beats the Apogee GTZ, but I don't know about the Danger Den. How about the Apogee XT? It beats the Heatkiller.

And the EK Supreme HF beats out the Apogee XT for temps and flow rate across the board, but I have no idea what sockets are supported for it right now.

As for the MC-TDX -- I've got one. It's good but it's nothing special.

Yeah, if you're looking for a really awesome block, the Apogee XT or the EK Supreme HF are the blocks to check out.

I honestly don't believe the top plate will make any difference.

You can check out this review, though. the EK Supreme HF comes with a set of different jet plates that yield different flow rates and temp results. Using the right one is important to getting the most out of it. The review provides results for each of the jet plates, so you'll be able to figure out which you want to use.

i think after one of the reviews ek said they will ship the blocks with the plate #1 as that yielded the best results.
