Both are great choices. I would actually take the Inferno katana if it was cheaper though. I love the red and black layout of that board. I'm not sure about foxconn with warranty's though. I've had trouble with Asus in the past with their lower line boards. High end Asus boards tend to last very long though. Have you thought about Gigabyte? There are some pretty sweet P55 boards that seem to be priced real nicely.
What do you do with your new rig? What are your requirements?
In that price range I'd probably go for this

Although that P7P55D is really cheap and hard to pass up...

Sorry for maybe making your decision harder

EDIT: nvm, the gigabyte board isn't as great as I thought it was ;x

Gaming mostly, I really want one that is 16x/16x but those are really expensive.

That would suck, remember P55 has such a small amount of bandwidth.

Would you consider 775 socket? They are good for gaming and they are much cheaper.

I went with this board:

more expensive than the foxconn but their warranty and support are worth it. Do you know of any good articles explaining the bandwith issue you are talking about?

He is talking about running 2 video card's which the P55 take's the X16 bandwith and split's to X8/X8 for each card. It's not a big deal and the P55 run's the same or up to 5% less in crossfire or sli.It is nothing to worry about people have even benched 5870's in tri and only had 4 or 5 hundred point's less.

Flash your board when you get up and running to the newer A39 bios. Some people including me had sound going out randomly that bios fixed it,talking about on board here don't know if it was the same for sound card's.Also get your chip set and audio driver's from evga newer than the disc.
