Hey guys, I was wondering which psu would be better for a system that has two radeon hd6950's (unlocked shaders and overclocked to 6970) in crossfire setup and a i5-2500k cpu with a moderate overclock.

I would pick the Corsair for the same reasons mentioned above: solid products and excellent customer service. From a technical point of view the PSUs are very similar.

650w is enough! But you could go 750 for headroom, but you should be fine with a quality 650w!

you're definately gonna be fine with one gpu on that 650 with no probs, and everyone is gonna tell you corsair but they are all good psus for what you need.

I'd get either of the XFX units over the Corsair. They're slightly better, they're modular, and they're cheaper.

Oh i just noticed something. The xfx units have 4 pci-e connectors whereas the corsair units only have 2??

If I'm not mistaken a 6950 CF setup would take 4 connectors right?

Can anyone confirm this as I could be wrong about the corsair unit.

Those XFX XXX units are great..just did a rebuild with the 850 unit, and it wow'ed me big time.

Highly recommended.

Edit: Yes you will need 4 PCI-E connectors.

Correct, the old Corsair TX650 only has two PCIe connectors. The newer TX650V2 has four.

I would recommend the corsair 750 or 850. I love my ax 850 and that can handle anything and will last u for a wile.
