ocz plat rev 2 (pc3200) or ocz gold rev 2 (pc4000), planning on running 250x10
I have heard great things about both.. just wondering if I could get the plat rev 2. to 500 with better timings

future comp:
a64 3200+
asus a8n-sli
2x 74 gig raptors, raid 0
asus 6600gt (temp card waiting for x850
)
antec neo power 480 psu
xp-120 w/ panaflo, as5
all in a lian-li pc-61 case

also, hows my heat gonna be with this set up and that oc? the lian-li comes with 4x 80mm fans. (AMD noobie :shades2: )

The PC3200 will restrict the timing on the PC4000, the PC4000 will run at stock PC3200 Settings, I recommend getting rid of the PC3200 to reach your goal.

Also with the fans in the lain li case you should have pretty good control of the heat.

OCZ Plat Rev.2 has been know to push 280 FSB with CAS 2.5 timings...if you can put enough voltage through it. It should do 250FSB with no more than 2.9 volts and fairly relaxed timings, but if you're willing to risk the memory, it'll go further or tighter timings with better voltage.

my OCZ gold rev2 PC4000 will run 2.5-3-3-8 in single channel at 250 FSB...but as soon as I throw it dual, I need to run 2.5-4-4-8, but thats my only complaint for now.
