Which stock cpu fan/heatsink is better? (e6300 vs e8500)

Hello

I got two stock cpu fan's/heatsink one for a E6300 and one is for the E8400. My cpu is a E6300 which stock fan is better? Photo below

I believe the E6300 stock sink is the better of the 2. The E8xxx chips run cooler so the heatsink is a little cut down.

More surface area to dissipate heat. So yes, bigger (more surface are) is better. And generally if one CPU runs hotter than another, usually the stock coolers are equipped as such.

I would say the E8400, bigger, and even better if it has a copper center!
