I want something thats similar to x700 256mb, but then I don't want to get the SAPPHIRE ATI one.

ATI chipset is NOT a must, I don't mind to have an nVidia chip video card.

Any video card equivalent to Sapphire x700 256mb (chipset doesn't matter) ?

the regular 6600 would probably be along the same lines as the x700, but the 6600gt is very cheap (~100$) and will smoke it! the 6600gt is the best deal you could probably find right now

I have no clue where you found a 6600GT for ~$100. Thats just insane. If you could pick up a 6600GT for 100 bucks thats a definate MUST

The plain 6600 (non GT) are HORRIBLE, stay away. They are however nVidia competing card against the plain X700 (non Pro), they just do a horrible job at it.

A plain X700 , 128mb or 256mb, is better then a plain 6600 256mb.

A 6600 GT however is better then the X700 and X700 Pro, and is pretty cheap.

But then you get the X800 GT, which is considerably better then a 6600 GT for slightly more money, and can overclock alot better and possibly unlock pipes.
