So everything bad about both mice, except that they're now white?

Zowie ought to take the opportunity to improve their mice while they're at it, instead of just changing the color and coating.

I know but Razer has been doing this for years, so other companies see it as a final way of wringing out MORE money from confirmed Zowie Zealots.

Got a white FK2 just because I know Zowie is cheap enough to make sure they can use the same shell molds when eventually they're forced to go to 3360.

I daily a ZA13, so I’ll probably pick up a white one eventually. That’s a strong maybe though; not thrilled with the way Zowie has been dragging its feet on mice improvements.

Contrary to popular circle jerk, I think there is some value by staying consistent when there is not enough of a reason to change. If you've put 1000h in to using a 3310 based mouse and perfecting your aim, and there are no massive problems with the 3310, then you still want the same mouse available X years down the line when your first mouse wears out.

The 336X is better than the 3310, without a doubt. However, for most people is there that much reason to change when there are no huge problems with the 3310?

Most people, no, but some sensitive bois like myself can't use the 3310 because of how heavy the smoothing is, and that removes a portion (albeit small) of the market from your consumer base.

I'm the same way, yes switching to a 3360 will require me to relearn, but there's something about the feel of the 3360 over the 3310 that I absolutely love. But I'm a weirdo, the 3090 feels better than the 3310 to me.

I think a lot of people feel that way, it's not unusual, I prefer the 3090 over the 3310 as well despite the pixel walk issues it has.

Why do you think the humble but basic, G400 is still with us here.

Heaps of people still using them and won't join the latest Logitech hype-train despite them having 3360 sensors.

This, totally.

I've used both sensors extensively and I've come to the conclusion that once used to each one, there's absolutely no reason to say one is superior to the other.. on paper yeah, but in-game they both perform great.. Can I feel the difference on cursor movement? Yes, maybe because of the framerate of the 3366/3360's, but it's all about getting used to one thing and being consistent with it. Well, at least for me shape/weight/buttons are more important factors when picking a mouse for competitive play.

So that hate on zowie's decision on using the same sensor should stop already. Their scrollwheels alone have more negative impact on performance than the sensor lol, or just ask any CSGO pro player who binds jump to the scrollwheel.

I prefer the FK scroll wheel over the G502 and G303 ones when I bunnyhop. I would prefer more steps though.

damn you must have a mutant wheel.
the wheel is fine for 1-2 months IME, then it goes downhill and starts skipping scrolls and scrolls when you don't want it to.

if Zowie could just fix that, and put 3360 in with some better button shell, I'd be using a ZA12 pretty sure.

I recently picked the EC2-A white.
- the glossy coat is a beauty, estetic and functional as well, the grip is just great.
- buttons 4 & 5, minor improvement, i don't have a real benefit out of them.
- scroll wheel it's actually a little bit worse than before, steps are not so well defined as before, is not as crisp as it used to
- button 1 & 2, believe it or not, they are worse, this is the biggest downgrade for me. The clicks are more mushy, tapping doesn't work as nice as before
- and now the biggest flaw of this "upgraded version" ?!? well, it's again about button 1 & 2. I'm sure you noticed about the edge of the button being on par with the mouse shell when the button is pressed. Because the button and the shell actually make contact right on the edge of the mouse, IF you press the button a little bit harder (which happens A LOT in a ordinary cs go match) the buttons can slightly slip left-right which generates a horrid scratching / grinding between the two. After around 10 cs go matches, the mouse is put to rest, for good!

Two words: "spray paint".

Otherwise it seems to be the same bad few years old Zowie. Glossy black, I would take that but white no. Sensor no. Switches, no. Unsplit buttons, no. Odd shapes, no. Scroll wheel issues and so on thanks to poor design, pass as well. Pricing, overpriced a lot at times, poor availability as well. What good is there about Zowie left? It fits some people's hands and they tolerate the other many issues.

Just get G403, do yourself a favor.
