Hey guys who else has coil whine with the 7850/7870 cards i would just like to know and what do you do to ignore it i have a 7850 dual x and it has coil whine plz don't say RMA it well i can't since i overclocked it and such so my warrenty is down the tube anyways who has the 7850/7870's and how do you put up with this sound..

I have just got a 7950 pcs+... coil whine is terrible... but at the same time its not very loud so its quite easy to drown it out with headphones
or speakers...

you still can RMA a card over overclocking it... just re-set to defaults and run driver sweeper(or something along those lines)
every card I have ever sent back has been previously overclocked.. never had an issue.

Eh true but i will just ignore it since RMA process can take along time so it's really not worth it if you just have coil whine i mean if the card works 100% perfect and just has coil whine all i can say just ignore it XD

Yeah, my 7870 LE has pretty terrible coil whine, but sending it back isnt really an option, seeing as I dont have any spare graphics cards lying about

I dont even have integrated graphics on my Sabertooth D:

I would just ignore man !!! mine has pretty terrible whine in DX 9 games and in some DX 11 main menus/games i just ignore it arghhhh

My 6950 had coil whine and I was able to ignore it for the most part. I won't lie though, it drove me crazy knowing that it was still there.

Yeah it kinda drives me nuts too but i just ignore it XD

Yeah, I can deal with it for the most part.
Ive just added some more fans to my case so it drowns it out a little

Other than that, ive got no complaints at all about my card

Yeah me neither my card overclocks like a champ and it runs cool so i also have no complaints with mine
