Lookit:

NZXT Hush:

In addition:

More:

Rosewill Challenger

NZXT M59 (same as Gamma and Lexa S)

And a bit more (look at the mobo tray):

Soo...are we looking at one OEM here or a whole bunch? Who would it/they be, by chance?

The OEM for all of those cases is a no-name company in China.

Low end cases often come out of the same fab; even if it's from multiple Brands.

The reason is is Factory A says:
Factory A: Attention Brand XY, we have a design would you like it?
Brand XY: Yes, please tweak this, this, and this. And put our logo on it.

Factory A: Will do!

Brand AB: We need a new case to put to market, do you have anything we can use?
Factory A: Yes we have this design, would you like any changes?
Brand AB: Yes, change these things here, and put our logo on this part please

Factory A: Will do

Rinse, wash, repeat.

We're not told who the OEM of the cases are. And it's not easy info to dig up either.

this is quite funny seeing them all lined up like that.

but it makes sense, why design a low end case when you can just buy a slightly modified one for far cheaper. better profit margins.

they even do this with cars too...

DSMs, diamond star motors; mitsubishi, eagle, plymouth.... eclipse, talon, laser... respectively, all identical engines and body, just slightly different body panels/bumpers.... even recently i noticed suburbans and escalades look similar if you look closely.

It is, isn't it? That's what...7 different brands?

And yeah, Escalades are indeed upscale Suburbans. Even more amusing, the Hummer H2 is the same thing under the bodywork. Automakers have been perfecting this for a long time. Makes for some interesting mods, for sure. You can actually take the front bodywork off of an escalade and attach it to a Silverado/Suburban/Sierra/Yukon:

So, the OEM for these isn't a known company?

OEM cases are usually shared tools. The factory in question will make the tools and then change little details and sell them to every brand. This is only for low ens <$40 cases. Big companies like Silverstone and Cooler Master have enough money to either have their own factories or have their own stamps and tools in another factory that only make their cases.

This is why the CM Elite 335 is not unique. Some unique cases (non clone) are:

CM Storm Scout
HAF 912
HAF 922
HAF 932
ATCS 840
Silverstone FT02
Silverstone Raven RV01 and RV02
Corsair 800D

Since these are very highly rated for cooling, cable management and internal design, you can see why the brands own the means to make them. They dont want a company like Rosewill making a HAF 932 or Fortress.
