Why do I always want to play versus mode in L4D2?

That's all I ever play and when I do all I ever want to do is be the zombies. Granted, it's probably the most fun I've had in video games in a long time. Is that bad?

It might be. You should check yourself and see if you have been bitten. If you have, it's only a matter of time before you turn and we have to shoot you.
Same. I even feel like ragequitting when I'm not Infected.

Agreed...was thinking the same thing.

On a more serious note (what could be more serious than being zombiefied...), I think it's the same for a lot of people. Was L4D the first mainstream game to allow this sort of play (i.e. the bad guys, as a zombie)?

There are plenty of other games that allow you to be bad guys.... CS:S's Terrorist? There's the CS:S zombie mod.....

I haven't had too much time to play but I really enjoy Realism mode. Teammates really have to keep LoS and not lose each other.

Realism is a lot of fun. Versus is also fun, but I have nothing but hatred for ragequitters. I've stuck through awful games because of crappy teammates or superior opponents, and I expect others to do the same.
I like being the infected too...but I also like being survivors and pwning the infected. Basically its saying "I'm a better infected than you are".

Yea whats the deal with this rage terminology. I never played l4d 1 online and pre ordered l4d2 and started playing when it came out. But I don't understand the raging thing. Is that a joke because of the zombies are raging or something?

It's general gaming term.... people who start cursing and flipping out are "raging".

Cursing, flipping out and quitting. Last night I was doing a campaign and some moron didn't want to stick together. 3 of us were doing OK and he's a mile away when he gets pounced by a hunter. Quits immediately. He basically raged because he wasn't playing like he was supposed to and got owned.
