Why does it take so long to show the used space graph under the drive letters after clicking on "This PC" on Windows 11?

Slow drives (rpm)? Needs defrag, needs optimize? My windows 11 shows immediately and I have 2 NVMe, 8TB(5400 rpm), 14TB RAID10 and some SSD’s.

It's immediate on a fresh installation but not on my current dated installation. Things like this happen over time with Windows I guess? No fix? My 6TB_Backup D:\ is dual 7200rpm 3TB Drives in RAID0 Dynamic Disk it's a software RAID0 Stripe & Each drive can do about 170MB/s each, for 340MB/s total throughput. It should appear instantly. I'm stumped until a fresh install.

My guess is waiting on timeouts for the busted network drives. Fully remove those and try again.

@acquacow How do I simply change the timeout time to like 1 second instead of whatever the default is?

There has been many issues with Win 11 and on mine too but its a video problem with 4 portrait view monitors. I am thinking I will give up on Win 11 and go back to Win 10

deleted prev msg. New windows update, got Ver. 21H2, build 22000.739. The Explorer came up in Large icons which doesn't show capacity. Changed it to tiles and everything is fine.
