Two guesses:

1) Overtightening of the barb, causing a deformed o-ring, which can leak.
2) Tube is not cut cleanly enough (i.e. on an angle) to sit in the compression barb, which slowly leaks.

if its comming from the fitting or the stop fitting, try using Teflon tape

I would try to put teflon tape around the fitting, and if that doesn't work, make sure your tubing is cut straight. Also make sure not to overtighten as stated above you could mess up the o-ring.

What size compressions are you using? The 1/2" ID 3/4" OD ones are notorious for leaking and not fitting on certain blocks/reservoirs
