For some reason upon running Windows Experience Index today, both my upgraded RAM was down from 7.9 with Kingston HyperX 2x4GB to 7.6 with Patriot Black Edition 2x8GB. Same speed and same overclock, 4.999ghz. Also the cpu is down to 7.6 aswell. Everything else is on 7.9.

Any explanation for this? Its not like a 5ghz 2500k is slow!!!! But the only thing I have updated is the RAM which is the same speed but lower CAS ratings (i thought the lower the better?)

Is this a problem or should I just ignore WEI?

Probably mostly ignore WEI, but it would bug me too. Double check what your North bridge is running at and all that stuff, maybe something changed in the BIOS. Do the RAM kits run with the same voltage? Or simply the Patriot is just slower.
