Hey OCN, for a while now I've been looking at the GTX 570 Gainward Phantom.

I love the way the card looks and it's powerful enough for my needs. But still I'm uncertain about getting it, perhaps it's the lack of reviews and recommendations? I haven't seen much reviews about it, the only "legit" vid on youtube is from OC3D TV, I must have watched it over 5 times already by now.

Things that matter to me about this card;

- It's quiet, big, big plus for me.
- It's looks like sex on a stick.
- It's a 570, so it's powerful enough and there won't be any problems unless I mess with the voltage.

Still I'm not convinced! Please smack me with some solid info that this card is worth buying.

Yes, I'm moving from AMD, I'm sick of the noise.

I would say go for it if you want to. Its a nice pick.
Yup, this. It does look very, very sexy.

Just imagine it in your PC. Silently maxing all of your games.

Do eet. Do eet.

I've only had one Gainward card, a GTX 260 that I bought on the day it was released, so I don't have a lot of experience with them as a company. It has been pretty good to me however, never any problems.

I've eyed these cards myself a time or two. If I wasn't into watercooling I would probably give one of them a shot.

If you plan on watercooling, you might want to stay away, since it is non-reference you might have trouble finding blocks for it. If you're not planning on watercooling, go ahead and give it a shot and let us know what you think

Yea I see no reason not to get it, as you mentioned it has a quiet and effective cooler, it shouldn't have the VRM problems the reference one does although as you know according to TTL at least voltage adjustment is a no go. As long as you can fit it's 2.5-3 slot requirement then I would go for it. Good luck and let post your impressions if you do get it.

It's a great card, the reason you don't see many reviews of it is because it's a EU only card, and the majority of review sites are American. Check out reviews of the Palit Sonic Platinum, under the cooler it's the exact same card (Gainward owns Palit iirc), but the Phantom should be 2-5C cooler across the board, maybe more.

Thank's people! Listen up, I'm planning on throwing around my whole build with a massive update, everything black with gold ascents! The extra slot space won't be a problem, I'll single it, and even if I'll get another one it means I've got enough cash to burn on the extra requirements, right?
