why is there such a long delay between stanfords site and the extreme overclock folding site? they still don't have any numbers for me yet, and i've been doing it a while.

It takes a while , FAH is non for profit which basically means , second rate bandwidth capabilities. More time and effort goes to uploading and downloading work packets then stat tracking.

A few things to keep in mind. Points are only awarded after a successfull upload of a completed WU. Unless there is a issue with the stats servers, which there was yesterday, the delay should be no more than 6 hours 95% of the time. I find a 3 to 6 hour delay between the updates is to be expected.

Stanford updates there points for the public about every hour. They also compile a text version of the points that is posted for sites like EOC to download. This file is posted every ~3 hours. The EOC site downloads the file, and updates ever 3 hours as well. So when things are running normally, 6 hours should be all that is needed.

If it has been longer than that, you may have an issue. Either an issue with your username, completed WU uploads, or some other issue.

there must be some issue then, because i have been getting a steady amount of WUs the past week or two and nothing is showing up in EOC.

Run the folding client config again and double check your team number. It should be 37726. There are 9 WUs currently posted with an invalid team number according to stanfords site. I wonder if those were your WUs.

Usually running the client with -configonly will let you check your setup. You can also check the FAHlog.txt file in the folding directory. You sould see you User name and team number.

Example:

Code:
Code:
--- Opening Log file [July 10 15:07:24]

# SMP Client ##################################################################
###############################################################################
                       [email protected] Client Version 5.91beta4
                          [URL=http://folding.stanford.edu/]http://folding.stanford.edu[/URL]
###############################################################################
###############################################################################
Launch directory: C:\\Program Files\\[email protected] Windows SMP Client V1.01
Executable: C:\\Program Files\\[email protected] Windows SMP Client V1.01\\fah.exe
Arguments: -forceasm -local
Warning:
By using the -forceasm flag, you are overriding
safeguards in the program. If you did not intend to
do this, please restart the program without -forceasm.
If work units are not completing fully (and particularly
if your machine is overclocked), then please discontinue
 use of the flag.

If you look at the Stanford link you provided, the stanrc account shows 0 points for team 37726. Please check your folding clients and enter our team number as it appears that your points are going elsewhere.

In general, WUs that show up on Stanford's site will appear on the EOC site within 1-4 hours (Stanford updates hourly, EOC every 3 hours). Once you get the team number issue worked out, you should see results shortly thereafter.
