So in 2 weeks my wife graduates from her masters in nursing. Family Nurse Practitioner (one step below doctor). She already has a job lined up so should be working in 2-3 months after boards.

I've not had a upgrade in over 3 years and she told me she's going to let me build a new pc when she gets to work.

So here is the general idea

I7 5820k (or best bang/buck 6+ core)
Custom water loop? Noctua dh15 ?
X99 MB ?
16+ gb ddr4
980 ti (x2?)
512+ MB ssd
3+ tb hd
1000+ psu
Full time case
30+ 4k monitor

No real budget but don't want to spend more than I need to

PCPartpicker Builds appreciated. No microcenter. Prefer newegg or amazon

...this is an aside:

Comments on you life, not you build.
"she told me she's going to let me" - What's that all about?
"A happy wife is a happy life"

Your response should have been:
Gee honey that's a great idea, and I really, really want a new computer, (playing up how important this "gift" is to you), but you've spent a whole bunch of time and effort getting a career, perhaps we should wait until we have a few of your paychecks under our belt and then you should get something you' have been wanting (giving up one of your big wants for her - you score "points"). After that we can take care of me.

Happy wife, new computer - profit.

...just a thought.............

I've worked the past 2 years while she went to school. It was her idea for me to get a new computer. She's getting a New 2016 (or 2017) Subaru WRX Limited

after a couple months working (I just bought a new 2015 F150 SuperCrew 3.5L Ecoboost on December 3)

Looks good to me. I'm guessing this build is not a office work station build for her lol. I thought this is where it was going until I got down to the second item on your list.

I really would like a suggestions on build (pcpartpicker). She doesn't want the CVT, She wants the short throw shifter 6 speed manual and STI exhaust

Also the B326HK is not GSync but it's recommended in a few threads. Also cooling is not included in price because I don't have experience with custom loops, but I still suggest looking into EK's AIO lineup.

EDIT: Updated with larger mech HDD.

With 2 cards do I need the 5930?
Is that board a lot better than the cheaper ones?

If it's worth anything at all, I just retired my X99 build and went Z170 with 980Ti, M.2 SSD (Samsung 950), i7-6700K. I like the build a lot better. I basically wasn't using 6 cores for anything. M.2 SSD speeds are just as fast (2500MB-read, 1500MB-Write).

I personally think Intel and MB companies dropped X99 support and went full resources on Z170. To me, my Z170 is much more refined and I really like it for what I use it for (gaming).

I think ASRock made an X99 board with dual channel DDR4 and it was nearly identical performance to similar quad channel DDR4 boards.

I don't think X99 is really worth it.

I also got rid of my 4K monitor and went ROG SWIFT. 4K didn't make much sense to me. Do you for sure want SLI? If so, your GPU's will run x8/x8 with that M.2. Or will it be x16/x8 + 4 for M.2...

Edit: NVM - You are running 5930K.

As you said you are upgrading in 3 months or so, perhaps we have new cards by then, if not they will be terribly close.
Also if you just game the X99 is not the way to go imho, I would go for the 6700K
And about the monitor, using a 60Hz display on such a beautiful setup would be such a shame, 144hz is where it`s at

A friend tried my 144Hz when I had one and his response was " what the f*** have I been doing with my life" he had used 60Hz panels all his life.
When choosing a MB go for a double m2 slot one, you never know when you want to raid those 950Pro-s.
