I was thinking of ordering a 5970 when I realised what a beast it is if I move the HDD cages one to the top and one to the bottom will the 5970 fit between them giving me the room to fit it.

I'm thinking the Antec 1200 is needed not sure though...using a measuring tape would help

If the 5970 is bigger than the Saphirre 4850x2 then i would say no because i barely got that to fit in my case.

i'd say it fits, as long as you move the hdds to the bottom or upper portion of the case.

I would say no not comtably. You would need to move HDD's and it would prob not be good for cable management.

Also I think that keeping it cool would be a problem in such a confined case.

It doesn't even fit in a Antec 1200 (from what I've heard)..

It can easily fit. Especially if there is no hardrives/fan in the way. :/

Shows that it can fit. Maybe only just but it fits there perfectly fine.

4870x2 fits as shown easily in a antec 900, card is physicly 10.5 inches and can be installed with no modification to the case, with a hdd cage mounted in front of it.

5970 is 1.5 inches longer, therefore would fit if there is no hdd cage in front of the card, i would however install the fan without the metal cage behind it to keep proper airflow going, i have only a 5870 in the mail, so i cant make an on hand saying about it, but i can show pics of the 5870 in a antec 900 end next week if need be.

no one on ocn has a 900 with a 5970 ?

IF you do not have any drives blocking it it will fit i would also recommend just cutting out the HDD section of the case and putting you HDD in the 5.25 bays so you get more Airflow from the front two fans and you will be able to fit the card
