Im using a macbook pro, I do heavy video editing and encoding, will the mac cuda drivers benefit me in any way? My mac is running the 8600m 512mb Thanks...

ATI's AVIVO software will help towards the end of next month however.

The only one I know of is Elemental's Badaboom encoder. I gave the demo a try and it was crap. Anandtech did a review on the full version and didn't seem too impressed either.

And nope. (since he's using Apple software and I bet he isn't going to switch)

I wouldn't trust ATI (or NVIDIA, for that matter) to come up with something good for video encoding.
If you saw how NVIDIA's video decoder works, you'd agree...

Like previous posters said, only ATI Avivo will speed up encoding.

Too bad my X1950XT can't benefit from it

Wait a minute Badaboom isnot crap with my graphics card i covert clips at 200Framerates a second which is over 8 times faster than any other converter ive heard off.... also there is a free program that converts with CUDA called MediaCoder - http://www.mediacoderhq.com/index.htm but i dont know how affective it is, hence why im waiting forit to download right now so that i can find out
