Idle temperatures? Hard to say. It depends on the amount of voltage, and the clock speeds you're running the CPUs at.

My E6750 ran hot as hell, but it was a badass overclocker (4GHz) whereas my E8500 ran 20C cooler, at 4.5GHz.

With my E8500, at stock, on a bad mount, I got 38C, at full load. Idle temperatures stayed around 5C above my ambient temperature.

Idle temps really don't mean much. And they also depend on ambient temperature, and how effective your cooling is (and thermal grease).

Your idle temps might go down 10*C, they might stay the same, they might even go up. It all depends.
