Will my CPU bottleneck a GTS 250?

It will be bottlenecking it a tad, but not to much - especially if it's OC'd - so all in all you should be fine and all good to go imo.

It is not OC'ed at all. In fact I can't OC it because of my HP motherboard. So my entire system is stock.
You'll be fine. The higher resolutions will put more of the load on the gpu

my friend has a 5000+ X2 @ stock and a 8800GT oced and scores 9k in vanage (with physX on) if that tells you anything.
It should be ok, a mild bottleneck yes, but tolerable.

You'll definitely see it at higher resolutions / more demanding games, but overall a great upgrade from an 8600

Thanks for the replies. I'm gonna go with it. I plan to upgrade to a Phenom II and new MB soon enough anyway! +rep to all that gave input
