Will my p4 now overclocked to about 3.8 bottleneck my 6800gs at all?

Your Motherboard is what will kill you. Motherboards are VERY important, I suggest a new motherboard for nice of a CPU.

Umm...he's running a 27% overclock. At equal clocks, there's very little difference among motherboards, so what are you basing that statement on?

Yeah.. Motherboards make such slight differences they are usually unnoticable.. Along with that though, At 3.8 you still are bottlenecking the 6800GS, but it doesnt matter. Even if you had your processor at 4.2 you would see maybe a 1-5 fps difference (or slightly more).

ok thanks everyone. Just wondering though...Is my processor seriously bottlenecking it? would an amd bottleneck it at all?

Let me give you some advice just forget that the word "Bottleneck" even exists.
