Will my SLI be slower on P55?

I am planning on using 2x 260gtx for SLI on my 1156 socket. This means I'll be running each lane at 8x instead of 16x. However, in reality I don't think it will make a huge impact. I game at 1650x1080 so hopefully I won't see a difference. I can understand a SLIGHT impact on SLI cards like 295gtx, but hopefully I'll be below the bottleneck. +rep to anyone who helps.

The difference is so minimal regarding to gaming you will not be able to tell the difference when playing. When benchmarking, SLI @ 16x will score higher than SLI 8x...once again not by much.

It would be a tad slower, but more powerful.

CF 5870s have a 1-2% drop vs the x58 platform.

I would not worry about your 260s.
