Yes that ram will work for that board. Honestly, I don't think you will be able to tell a difference in speed unless benching.

Was wondering if this ram http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145260 would work with GA-MA790FXT-UD5P this board? In addition, would i be better off with this ram trying to run it at a lower freq and tighter timings or just get 1333 ram with tighter timings?

Should work, but if you're only going to be using them at 1333MHz, you might as well save yourself the money and get a lower clocked set... that said however, higher speed > tighter latencies the majority of the time
Yes that ram will work. And i would just leave that ram at stock everything or overclock the frequency.
I thought AMD likes lower timing ram vs higher freq? I'm about to build a new rig for someone and I'm new to AMD.
