Will this ram work?

This ram says "Dual Channel Intel Core i5 & Core i7 CPU for P55 motherboard", it just confuses me a little. Is the ram dual channel compatible with only i5 & i7, or is it compatible with all cpu's/all dual channel mobo's? Here's the build I'm getting ready to buy, and I'd like to change the ram.

That mobo is DDR3 compatible so the RAM should work fine.

Yes but will it use dual channel mode without a problem?

As long as you put the RAM in the right slots.

Read the description on the product page of the memory: "Compatible with Dual Channel Intel Core i5 CPU for P55 chipset motherboard, Dual Channel Core i7 CPU for P55 chipset motherboard, and AMD AM3 Platform."

Just a warning though: most Ripjaws kits do not play well on AM3 platforms.

But you should be fine at 8-8-8 1333mhz
