What do you think about this?

Case:
Cooler Master Elite 332, Black, Midi tower

PSU:
Corsair Powersupply 650W Black,ATX/EPS, 120mm fan, 8xSATA, SLI

Mobo:
Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS3L, P45, Socket-775, ATX, GbLAN, DDR2, PCI-Ex(2.0)x16

CPU:
?? (Quad is interesting)

GPU:
?? GTX260 876MB or HD4870 1GB?

Monitor:
Probably BenQ 22" LCD E2200HD TCO03, 1920x1080, 1000:1, 2ms, VGA/DVI/HDMI

Ram:
Corsair TWIN2X 6400 DDR2, 4096MB CL5, Kit w/two matched CM2X2048-6400 Dimm's

What I already have:
Harddrive (500gb) WD 7200RPM SATA-300

Just kidding. What do you mainly use your computer for?

Well, gaming and compressing fraps vids, browsing the net and having loads of things in the background like winamp/ie/msn/xfire/steam etc etc.

It looks good, I'd suggest buying the UD3L instead of the DS3L. They should be about the same price and the UD3 series is the newer ultra durable 3.

Also, if you are looking for inexpensive cases, the Antec 300 is a good quality case with good airflow.

Other than that, the chip and video card are going to be based on price/preference and what you intend on doing with them.

Asus P5N-D, nForce-750i SLI, Socket-775,
ATX,Firewire,GbLAN,DDR2, 2xPCI-Ex(2.0)16

Should I go for that one or the one you named? This one is cheaper and also has the SLI option, but i dont know if its good or not. Ill look around though!

And thanks for the tip about the antec.

Ok, so I guess it'll be an HD4870 1GB (any good brand like gainward or so?)

And an E8500 I guess. Oh and the Q8550 is at the same price as an I7 (same goes for that motherboard)

If you can afford a Q9550 go for it.

How about this? (Same mobo and ram as before)

Corsair Powersupply 650W Black,ATX/EPS, 120mm fan, 8xSATA, SLI

Sony NEC Optiarc DVD±RW burner AD-7203S,
LabelFlash, Multirecorder(Ram), SATA, Black
(Need IT!) Just a cheap one to install my os with lol.

Antec Three Hundred 140mm Fan (Without PSU)

Corsair TWIN2X 6400 DDR2, 4096MB CL5,
Kit w/two matched CM2X2048-6400 Dimm's

Gigabyte GA-EP43-DS3L, P43, Socket-775,
ATX, GbLAN, DDR2, PCI-Ex(2.0)x16

Intel Core™ 2 Quad Q9400 2,66GHz,
Socket 775, 6MB, 1333MHz, Boxed with fan

Sapphire Radeon HD 4850X2 1GB GDDR3***
PCI-Express 2.0, 2xDVI, HDMI, HDCP, Full-Retail

It goes exactly 50 bucks over my budget!
And i suppose it will be a good rig, not the best for overclocking but stable eh?

*** Is there a GDDR5 version? Or does it not matter?

If you like doing alot in the background a quad core would be the ticket. Quad is really good for multitasking and most do very well with that process with at least 3 gigs of ram.

I noticed you get a boost in a few games already (Lostplanet/GTA IV and a few more)

And is there not an option for 1gb per core thing aswell? (Ganged/Unganged) or i mightve gotten it wrong though.

Oh and will that setup i just added, work? Will the supply have enough power for a full loaded HD4850X2 + the CPU?

Oh and do i need a sli motherboard to be able to use the HD4850X2? Cause benchmarks are only talking about: To use the HD 4850X2 in a CrossFireX configuration, you will need a motherboard that has two PCI-E x16 slots and a power supply that can handle the additional load.

Or is this for when having TWO HD4850X2's ?
