In my setup I use 3 partitions. I have one for os, one for apps, and one for storage.

I'm using Windows 7 and was just wondering which of the following would be best:

ScenarioA - I can change my Apps partition to drive letter C:, so that stuff defaults to install to it

or

ScenarioB - I can change the registry so that drive letter D: (my apps partition) is the default install location

Does anybody know if there are any advantages / disadvantages for doing it one way or the other..or does it matter at all?

Your C drive will always be your OS drive though.
Yea it's not letting me change it. Registry change it is!

Thanks
