Does anyone know how much it cost to upgrade Windows 7 Pro to Ultimate using the Anytime Upgrade thing?

130$
You only get one main feature by going from pro to ultimate. There is absolutely no point in going from one to the other, but if you must, it's $129.99 (Windows Anytime).

Ouch! I was just curious because I have Win 7 Pro and the multilanguage function on Ultimate is attractive. but $130 is too expensive, I can get a new OEM copy for less probably
thanks for the answers guys

I wasn't trying to sound offensive or anything. I just really don't understand why they produced two versions at such a price difference for one or two features.

Retail it is only a $20 difference. I have no clue why the anytime "upgrade" would be $130.... greed perhaps? lol

You can use it to encrypt the system drive by using a USB startup key if you don't have the TPM chip. It is designed more for TPM though.

Also, did you get the rtm from MSDNAA? perhaps the reason for the high price is because of you didnt pay for the pro?

did anyone buy a retail or upgrade retail pro and see what theupgrade price was?
