I have a friend wanting to run couple of window programs that are not officially supported for mac. What program will he need to run couple of window programs on his mac? thanks in advance

P.S. They're small programs not huge ones.

Parallels, VMWare, VirtualBox, Crossover, and bootcamp if you want to run windows natively, and take advantage of the full processing power of the mac, instead of running it in a slower virtual machine.

Very good summary, however I might add that the VM itself won't be much slower than native aside from GPU performance, not by much anyway. Obviously booting native is better because you get all of the resources but if you have the necessary CPU, RAM, and GPU memory to dedicate to it then it should be quite similar. Just didn't want anyone thinking that running the VM is going to be significantly slower.
