Check Event Viewer. Perhaps a problem is listed there.
windows 7 resets it slef? wth?
it happened twice, I log in my user account and see that my theme has been changed, most of the apps pinned on the task bar has been removed, Ive done a restore twice already and it seems fine. any ideas of what this reset thing can be?

Are you using any maintenance software which restores defaults?
