i'm able to use either one.

mobo: 890FXA-UD5
cpu: phenom II 955

which would you prefer? considering 64-bit uses more resources than 32-bit, and 32-bit does almost about everything 64-bit does.

If you have a lot of RAM you wont be able to use some of it if you don't use 64bit(There is a 3.2GB limit on 32bit).
I personally like 64bit a lot better than 32bit.

Your sigrig states 4GB. I'd go with 64-bit. The only reason I have 32-bit is because I ordered it by accident and didn't realise till after I'd activated the product key, because I'm a fool.

With 32bit OS, max memory will be 3,2Gb.

With 64bit OS,
* Starter: 8GB
* Home Basic: 8GB
* Home Premium: 16GB
* Professional: 192GB
* Enterprise: 192GB
* Ultimate: 192GB

also some people don't know this but the windows 7 kernel is actually much more stable on 64bit and 32bit. If you get the 64bit windows 7 its a win win situation really.
