Windows 7 Ultimate + BF 2142 + Dell Vostro 1500

Just installed Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit for a buddy on his Dell Vostro 1500 Laptop and after installing EA's download manager (he bought Deluxe Offline) the game downloads, installs, unlocks, decrypts then when you boot it just stops responding :\\

This laptop has dual boot XP and W7 with the XP already having his Battlefield 2142 Deluxe installed could this be the issue ? Could I be forgetting any simple updates ? I have updated all drivers and GPUZ says it's running DX 10

Check out some of the results there...i had a similar problem and had to go into the games .ini's or similar settings folder and edit them to get the game to run

It was with BF2 so your issue should might be similar...same engine

Yeah BF2/2142 doesnt play well with Vista/7 I got it to work after googling around for a few hours.
