Can't click on anything. Can't ctrl+alt+dlt. Whenever I try to bring the Taskbar up or click on the shortcut it just gives the circle wait thing.

It boots into Safe Mode fine, and I ran the memory diagnostic, everything is fine there.

Check Disk is next.

What else could it be?

No, just KB/mouse/LAN/toslink plugged in the MB.

I haven't defragged anything, this is a fresh 6 hour Windows install. No CCCleaner ran.

Not OC'ed either. Everything is bone stock.

Also, crucial M4 firmware up to date? http://www.crucial.com/support/firmware.aspx

And bios?

Also, go to system config and check to see what programs and services are bing loaded at boot.

I had an issue similar to yours when I first installed window. It worked it's way out with the sata and firmware updates.

It must have been one of my SATA drivers. Crucial is on 0009.

Disk check came back clean, and I installed every single updated driver I could find for the whole damn board while I was in Safe Mode.

Thanks Sean, it's all good now.

I'm gonna check out driver detective too Fish, thank you.
