I think it would be a good marketing idea for microsoft to offer a discount for those that spent 2-3 months using a beta version of vista and had their error reporting and submitted feedback and all that stuff to improve on bugs. I personally haven't been using Vista for that long but I think it would improve sales drastically from all of the people using the beta for price reasons who have no intention of staying with Vista after it timebombs on them. Anyways, what do you guys think about this idea, Microsoft will not go for this idea, but in theory what do you guys think about it.<br />

Yeah they'd be giving a discount to about 10,000 real testers and 1,000,000 "omg look i vi$ta for free" newbs. I submitted a few things in the feedback form but nothing I consider worth a discount. Beside I'll hang on to XP for as long as possible. Just take a look around the forums and see how many people are still using 2000. I think i'll stick with XP until they smooth out some of the performance issues (even with everything set to low it runs slower than xp set to high).
