Im currently in the process of building a new PC for my father inlaw. He currently has one of the Sony all in one desktop PCs. The kind thats just a monitor with the PC integrated into it. The screen went bad and all estimates he has gotten are around $800 for the repair.

Im getting all new parts for a build this week. He would like it to be setup just like the current one. I know that Vista has that Easy Transfer Wizard. I have never used it. I have two questions. Is it worth using this and can it be used without interaction on the old PC? It starts up and loads Vista but the screen has no picture on it?

I wonder if i could install the old HDD from his PC into a PC that runs Vista and run use the PC so that I could run the wizard?
