Has anyone ever tried this? I recently acquired it and I'm tempted to install it. Is it any better than regular XP Professional?

Pirate. LOL.
All it is is a slimmed down version of XP, less resources used...
Just Use Vista and be done with it.

As has been said Black edition is a pirated copy of XP as well as other software built in. You can't discuss it on this forum.
