OK, with my old P5N-32 sli, (P4 661) when I did a windows XP (home sp2) shutdown, power remained to the board, (green pilot light) but the mouse went into sleep to conserve the batteries.
With my new rig, (C2D E6600) P5W DH Delux, the system powers off correctly, but the mouse does not go into "sleep" mode, i.e. my batteries are dead in a few days.

Am I missing something in bios that will allow power to be removed from the PS2 port after soft shutdown??

As of now, I have to do a windows shutdown, and then turn off the switch on the back of the PSU, (I know this is piddly and I'm a lazy bum)!!
