Just feels sad sad and so sad for my pc (specs below in sig)

I wish if i could record the working process of my pc, you guys must be laughing. :|

From starting :
Window7 logo stucks for some 5 min.
Then welcome screen took some 3 minute to show me the user names and to enter password.

Fine I can see my desktop now.
Then it took approx. 10 min. to get stable
(Between these 10 min. the pc seems as Not Responding)

Fine here too.

Now clicked on Mozilla Icon to come over here.
Mozilla took some 2 min. to open.
Then selected Address Bar and typed : overclock.net

Wohaa, Nothing happened.
Now slowly slowly, word to word like a typewriter.
Words are coming : o-v-e-r-c-l-o-c-k-.-n-e-t

Then it took me 1 minute to type the Topic "Wish I could make a video
"

The Pc seems to be going Not responding and back to Normal every second !

~Please someone help me ?
I'm a animation student, project work going on and I'm fed up of this PENTIUM 3

Try using msconfig to disable some of the start up programs that are completely unnecessary.

Start > "msconfig" > enter

Now disable everything except for the bare essentials. As you can see all I have is essential Microsoft start ups , Antivirus, and CCC.

Hope it helped!

It sure sped up my boot times SIGNIFICANTLY.

Yea done just now..
Thanks for reminding. ^^

only 3 things enable now.

Realtek HD audio manager
Microsoft security client
Catalyst control center

Disabled :
Steam
Download Manager
ATI customer Care
Quick Time
iTunes

These all only I have in the list.
I'll reply back to the problem solved or not by evening after checking

Hmm, that may not completely speed up your system.

And you're running on a fresh install?

This.

And make sure you update your computer too. You have the drivers for your chipsets and everything?

Last week.

I went to the same place from where I bought pc
(A popular shop here)
He updated BIOS and tested my pc for some 3 hours and the sad thing that even I was surprised of was Pc was working all fine.

Even he said maybe the hard disk is having some problem.

Last week :
Updated bios
Fresh re-install windows
Updated graphic drivers

I agree on hard drive issue. Especially if a fresh install. Though makes me wonder why you didn't see any issues during install if that is the case. It just sounds too much like the HDD going out, as I just had one die yesterday and mine was doing close to the same thing.

shall I give a try by using their hard drive and giving my hard-drive to them ?

Maybe this will check the hard-drive status !!

I'll try forward and reply back with the result

You won't be able to just swap hard drives if they are the boot drive. Unless your friend's rig is the SAME as yours, windows probably won't boot correctly because drivers that are installed for hardware on your friend's rig aren't on your rig. Understand?

You can download HD tune and run a scan with that, then post the results.
