Ive seen people having this problem before. Sometimes it has problems and you cant' roll back. Since you reinstalled a few days ago if its not to much trouble for you and if you really dont want wmp11 then I would suggest go ahead and reinstall.

Sorry if this doesnt really help you.

Just goto Add & Remove Programs and let it load - tick "show updates" and scroll down to WMP 11 Beta, uninstall it WMP 10 will automaticly be back
Thats very weird

What are you using to uninstall?

Try the trial of MyUninstaller It has a complete unstaller including removing unused folders for the app + registry info

Hope it works

Since you never wmp 10 you wont be able to rollback to my knowledge, just reinstall windows.

Ok i'll just keep it, i don't wanna reinstall windows again just for the sake of not having wmp 11

Oh and one quick question, i have a two disc album in mp3 on my comp but media player won't play it it says "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file" but it is just MP3 i had it playing before and it works using media player classic but i never use that

Sounds like a Registry error. Try the above after running Registry mechanic found here : http://www.pctools.com/registry-mechanic/?ref=google_rm

I had this same problem because I did'nt have WMP10 on my PC I could not roll back and WMP11 the little **** wont uninstall in the normal manner...

Anyways this is how you remove it... Posted by Sin100

Windows regestry > HKEY LOCAL MACHINE > SOFTWARE > MICROSOFT > WINDOWS > CURRENT VERSION > UNINSTALL

When you expand the Uninstall folder, you'll see all the programs currently installed, such as the uninstall Media Player 11 or Media Player, etc.
Click on the folder you want to uninstall, in the box on the right you will see two strings, DisplayName and UninstallString.
Double click UninstallString and a box will appear with the uninstall string highlighted.
Right click on the highlighted entry and select COPY.
Close the Regedit window.
START > RUN, Right click inside the command box and paste the uninstall string and click OK to uninstall Media Player 11.
