Hey all!
Im still a noob at this but this is what I’m planning. I am basically in my last year of college and will be going off to university this time next year, so I plan to build a pc that will last me thorugh it with minimal upgrades needed later on.

Also everything is funded out of my pocket so depending on work will affect how I get everything done. The colour scheme I’m going with is blue and black.

As I’m getting the parts I will be using my old pc and changing bits as I get them =/

At some point I will get a side window cut in and/or this picture airbrushed on.

Objectives
Have a computer to last me through university.
SSD for quick boot time.
Raid 5 redundancy.
To finally hit 4 GHz!

Please note that I am open to suggestions about kit etc.

Pc Components to get:

Obsidian 700D (Got)
Gigabyte GA-890FXA-UD7 890FX
AMD Phenom II X6 Black Edition 1090T (Got)
Corsair dominator GT ‘4GB to start maybe 8 later’
Corsair HX1000 or Corsair AX1200 ‘undecided’
HIS HD 5970 ‘6series vershions'
D-Link Xtreme N PCI Express Desktop Adapter DWA-556
Zalman 6 channel fan controller

*Please note everythign below here has changed now, read later posts*
8 X Scythe Gentle Typhoon Fan for the rads
3 X Xigmatek 140mm XLF-F1455 Blackline
Need help with this for sure!

3 x SATA 6Gb/s hard drives for RAID 5
1 x SATA 6Gb/s SSD for boot OS and main applications

Water cooling Idea

I’m fully open to what I should use and shouldn’t use!
*note* I plan to have dual loops for easily cleaning and to remove parts etc.

Loop one will go like this.
360 >CPU>pump/res>Mobo>360

I want to use 3/8†ID & ½†OD for this loop mostly to do with the mobo block that comes with the UD7.

The second one like this.

240>5970>5970?>pump/res>240

I think I’ll go with 3/8th again unless people think I should use ½†for this one?

Water cooling bits.
‘will change with ideas’

Loop one.

To the OP, why didn't you get this?

http://www.svc.com/ddcbaytwo.html

But, still I think it's going to look pretty good. That case is huge. I think the hardest part (of modding the case) was getting the lower drive bays removed.

Looks good.

You do know that the pump doesn't mount in that res right? You are going to have to find somewhere else to mount it, and you might want to look at getting an after market top. Also, have you seen www.specialtech.co.uk? I find that WC UK is often out of stock and don't carry the widest selection (they don't even have the EK supreme HF
)

Edit: Oh, and I would have a look at this review before deciding on an £80 CPU block.

You could get one of these, which will run two loops. It supports two MCP350 / 355 pumps, so the ones you picked are fine.

The Scythe GT's are great fans, Martin did a review of them here. The only problem is finding them in stock anywhere.
