Hi All

Current setup:

2560x1440p monitor, single gtx 670. Fps: 48 minimum, 60 average. I add a second gtx 670 to the mix and for some reason my fps is now: minimum 33, average 60. What am I doing wrong? Everytime I get killed now on BF4 my screen like locks up for a second or so, its so annoying.

Anyone know how to fix this? Ive tried running latest 335 driver, downgrading to 334 which up until today ahs worked fine for me. Ive also attempted to change my NV SLI setting to make BF4 run in maximum performance mode, and ive tried editing my BF4 profile using nvidia inspector, neither of which have worked.

thank you for your help

CPU seems to go to 50% or more judging by my sidebar gadget, gpus both seem to go to 100% load according to gpuz. The memory is at full allocated, >1900mb out of 2000mb available. But I dont understand how my fps goes down with 2gpus, unless somehow because the gpu has more power it runs out of memory...I dont know.

Also wierd thing that started today is the kiling bug, when I get killed the screen hangs for a second, prior to today it never did this.

well setting nvidia to optimize the game, its turned a few settings down, notably about half of the settings down to low/medium. Which I find strange, but its stopped that annoying screen lock issue.

Yup, BF4 at your resolution eats VRAM for a snack.

But why didn't this problem manifest itself when I had only the single gtx 670?

Were you using the same settings for the single GPU that you were for SLI?

Maybe a single 2gb 670 runs out of steam at that resolution for that game maxed out long before VRAM could be issue?

I can't find any 670s listed on evgas site But I'm going to assume that it has 2gigs of memory and most likely
since that memory doesnt stack in sli configuration you gpus are just eating that memory up and not able to
clear fast enough to prerender the next set of frames fast enough when you die and thats why the lockup.

Maybe sli makes a sharing of vram very bad.so now you see why I said you time ago that 2gb vram wasnt enough for 2560x1440 for games newer than 2012 or with demanding graphics

Think ive sorted it now. Its down to the resolution scale. At 100% or more, I get that annoying crash thing, but less than 100% im getting constant 60fps on ultra with AA off.
